My search for Sonny Rollins studio recordings
to possibly like has led me Way Out West. Sort of off he beaten path but a great recording. Now back to Sonny Live in November 1963. Sonny Rollins is the truth.
Who knew that cheesy cowboy songs could sound so good. In my opinion, one of the top Rollins studio recordings....the other being Saxaphone Colossus....
It would be real nice to listen to it on vinyl through a tube amp. I think it has been remastered.....nice choice Nelson....
Sonny with Ray Brown and Shelley Manne? 1957?
