Mrs.Baya and I, together with family from Philadelphia, headed out to Highline to check out Raul Midon. If you have the opportunity to catch him in concert, do so, he is spectacular, his guitar chops are off the chart and his singing is excellent as well.
While Highline is a great venue for live music, their service leaves much to be desired. The fact that they tack on the gratuity automatically would not have bothered me as much if their service didn't suck as much as it did. As you all know, I'm a great tipper, especially when the service is good but this type of arrogance is what turns people off to these sort of venues, especially old-school cats like myself and the Mrs. It was great to see our growing Philly familia and hearing good live music, yes, it still exists. Thank you Bill & Erica.
Raul Midón is the truth. Great music, great sense of humor but even more important, great sense of self.
